A Healthy Appreciation for Apples by harwicks-art A Healthy Appreciation for Apples by harwicks-art
As I understand it, "Applejack Appreciation Day" falls on October 1st this year, and as someone who truly appreciates the orange farm pony, I really wanted to have a picture ready for it. The most dependable of ponies happens to be one of my absolute favorites, but I can see how she can be overlooked. She is more often than not the straight mare of the bunch and the crazy antics of the less mature members of the Mane Six tend to draw more attention, without a doubt. Still, with all of the big scenes that were shown in the Comicon animatic footage, I have to say that the Apple Family song segment was my favorite of the bunch, and I can't wait to see the episode it comes from and find out where they're all traveling and why Pinkie is counted among them.

On a side note, I have no idea how the Apple Family barn works. Is it their house? Do they have 2 barns, one to live in and the big empty one we've seen used for parties? Did they clear the milk cows out of the barn for the parties they've had there? (And are the cows in general not invited to such shindigs? Seems unfair.) The barn I drew above seems to be neither, but I figure they must have somewhere to keep their plows and Applejack's fancy little apple cart and whatnot.

I totally agree with you on your first paragraph.

On your side note, Sweet Apple Acres is a huge place spanning literally ACRES upon ACRES upon ACRES of land. This looks like something that could be behind and beneath their house.

One brony on YouTube said "Is that [saying sugar cube] her way of not remembering someone's name? Like 'Sugar cube? Meet, uhh, sugar cube." haha x]

To clear up the 2 barns thing, you got it right: One's the utility or shed like barn used for storing other animals or supplies (or parties), and the other is a country home (which tend to look a lot like barns...or plantation mansions if their the well-to-do kind of family). It reminds me of that country lady on Food Network who's family (husband and her) own a ranch for their beef business, and they have a barn barn, and a more housey looking barn.

Yes! That's what her show's called. I feel dumb for not remembering, since Food Network's on half the time at our [family's] house :iconfacehoofplz:
