Ahuizotl by harwicks-art Ahuizotl by harwicks-art
I still have trouble pronouncing that name. In any event, have a fictional villain, even within the already fictional world... Daring Do was a fun little invention, and I enjoyed the pulp adventure scenes (complete with full-on action sequences) and over-the-top villain Ahuizotl as her nemesis. For those who haven't been following the comics, it's strongly suggested in the last issue via background hints that Twilight's mom is the author of the Daring Do series... so I guess this guy sprang from her head. (And I suppose the Aztecs deserve a great deal of credit as well... or whatever the pony equivalent might be.)

That character has quite a cool concept. I didn't get that far in the series....

But anyways, he looks well done.
Good job.

I feel like this guy is the most underrated character in the entire series by far. In fact, those who are underrated or misunderstood turn out to be my favorite characters.

I think I'll add to the fact that his role in the aztec myths takes him to a whole new level: A lurker who lives near water zones and who likes eating nails, teeth, eyes and flesh. He preys on his victims in order to drown them. At least his victims should consider themselves lucky, for they'll be honored by the aquatic god Tlaloc.
