I admit, I love fair Rarity. Pound for pound, I find her the most entertaining pony (although one shouldn't measure a lady by her pounds.) It's no real secret that my favorite of the characters is Twilight, but I can't deny that Rarity steals most any scene that she deigns to enter... doubly so if she sings. (I am among the many commercial artists won over to the series by her excellent ballad to the headaches of pleasing clients in "Art of the Dress".)
I'm consistently shocked that she meets with more than her share of disapproval from certain fans, as a result. How diminished the show would be without any one of the Mane Six, no doubt... but how truly drab things would be without the pony every pony should know.
Edit: After some complaints that she looked too old, I gave her the ol' Hollywood cheesecloth treatment and did a softer blend on the brushmarks making up her face.
This looks too fantastic!!! And Rarity is gorgeous with that gown!!!
...and then there's this shmuck with the donut.
you should post how you draw on youtube i bet you would get populer in no time there !!
Rarity is my top fav of the Mane Six.... followed by Twi
so I approve this Rarity Love ^^
Also, a doughnut? Really?? That had better be Doughnut Joe there, or else that is just tacky... Good art!
If the roles were reversed I believe that Spike would be Kermit and Rarity would be Ms. Piggy.
In most franchises a character like Rarity would have me climbing the walls with loathing, but in FIM... I just can't dislike her. Her fussy drama-queen nature isn't the whole of her character.
...Also my headcanon is that Chrysalis is the one offering the chocolates.
And about Rarity, I think - it is hard to say, but - maybe the least featured pony in overall, even though I think she has a great and interesting personality. I hope pictures like this make people realize that she is actually THE BEST PONY (allright, I must take that one back, but I can't help it, she's one of my fav ^^)
Anyway, keep up the good work!
The doughnut. Amongst all these proper gifts, you've got a doughnut of all things.
Nice. VERY nice.
