Still, it gives us a chance to talk about Season Four so far... How is it working for all of you? Personally, I'm enjoying it quite a bit, although I don't know if there's any episode I've completely fallen in love with yet. I'm really enjoying the extended subplots with the mysterious box and missing keys, the refurbishing of the old castle, as well as the upcoming Equestrian Games. I'm also quite impressed by the wider world of this season, as stories routinely take the characters well beyond Ponyville. In fact, they've done that so much that I'm actually missing the old stomping grounds... Ponyville itself has been such a rare sight through the first half of the season that I'm going to feel a sense of nostalgia when they finally spend an entire episode there again.
And of course there have been a lot of great new designs and characters, with surely more to come. I'm just getting around to posting art from the premiere... I have a lot of catching up to do.
Everything from this point forward that you've made has been awesome, and it helps to keep the spirit alive. Thanks again for sharing your awesome work with us all. Here's to many more to come.
Also, love Spike's expression!
just one word: wow.
This would be an awesome wallpaper!
Season 4? For me, it's halfway marvelous so far. Even though I've been an Indiana Jones fan for literally as long as I can remember, I hated "Daring Don't". It's not that Spike wasn't part of it, it's that all those extra ponies were, at his expense. If at least one of the mane six had been omitted, it wouldn't have singled him out and I would've loved it.
But that's the only episode I openly dislike. I think it's fantastic that the writers are including him much more in episodes like "Bats!". Problem is, he's only been hanging around without contributing much. The most noteworthy thing they've used him for is reminding him he isn't useless. Not exactly Mane Seven Revolution there. I don't want him to be the star of the show (even though he has the potential to be just that), but I don't want to keep seeing him treated like a minor character.
Best episode of the season, though: Pinkie Apple Pie. It is absolutely the best thing ever. Of all time.
