Nurse Redheart

I wonder about the state of medical care in Equestria. We've seen the sick, the injured, and even a funeral. Ponyville has a fairly impressive and surprisingly modern hospital (with some rather tight security, as Dash found out.) Applejack needed to save up to buy Granny that new hip, so all health care isn't free. (Do you think she got that new hip? She seems more spry in later episodes...) Do they use modern science to treat patients, or magic of some sort? Twilight goes from traction to just fine inside of a day, while Dash needs a few to repair a broken wing. What does it all add up to?

Just that I think too much about these things, I suspect.
